Schooner Woodwind Burns Society Event

Given the success of last year’s cruise on the Schooner Woodwind, we will once again ply the high seas (well, the Chesapeake Bay) in August. Many people on last year’s cruise expressed an interest in doing one of the Monday night historical cruises, so we have chosen one that sounds interesting and entertaining.

From their website:
Legends and Lore of the Annapolis Waterfront presented by Dave Gendell
Dave Gendell brings aboard an entertaining and compelling set of stories and insights around Annapolis history, the Naval Academy, the sailing scene, and the personalities that make Annapolis one of the world’s most unique waterfront communities.
Dave Gendell has researched, written, and presented extensively on Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay history with a special focus on the Schooner America, World War II along the Annapolis waterfront, and the Thomas Point Lighthouse.
The date we’ve chosen is Monday, August 22nd for a sunset cruise, which is from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The Woodwind sails from the dock behind Pusser’s restaurant in Annapolis. The boat will leave right on time, so it’s a good idea to arrive a little early. Wear shoes and clothing appropriate for sailing. The price is:
$53.75 for adults
$51.00 for seniors and students
$34.75 for children under 12
These prices include all taxes and an 18% gratuity for the crew, and includes a soft drink and a snack. $5.00 from each ticket will go to the RBSA as a fundraiser.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested and how many might be in your party. We require a minimum of 18 people to book the cruise, so we need a rough count fairly quickly to start the booking process.
The Schooner Woodwind requires that all money for a group booking be paid a couple of weeks before the sailing date, so to ensure your spot is saved we will need to have all payments in hand no later than July 31st.
